Water Damaged Ceiling Repairs across Sydney
Water-damaged ceilings are the most common emergency call we get in Sydney — and the most misunderstood. The stain you can see is rarely the whole story; behind it is wet plasterboard, soaked insulation, and sometimes mould growing in the cavity. Painting over a stain without addressing the moisture just hides the problem until the ceiling fails.
We've been repairing storm and leak damage across Sydney for 25+ years, including a lot of insurance work after the major Sydney storm events. The right job sequence is: stop the source, dry the cavity, replace the affected plasterboard, then set, sand and texture-match the new section so the repair disappears.
If you've got an active leak right now — put a bucket under it, move what you can, and text us a photo. We'll get there.

FAQs
Urgent. A wet ceiling can hold litres of water and come down without warning. Move furniture, place a bucket, don't walk under it — and text us a photo. We prioritise water-damage callouts the same day.
Yes. Any new plasterboard goes into a dry cavity — otherwise the repair fails. We can coordinate with your roofer, plumber or insurer; we don't sheet over an active leak.
Most NSW home and contents policies cover sudden water damage (burst pipes, storm). Slow leaks are sometimes excluded. We provide itemised quotes and reports formatted for insurance claims.
A small stained section runs $400–$900. A collapsed section or sagging area is usually $1,200–$2,800. Full room re-ceils from $2,500. Always quoted fixed-price after inspection.
Once the cavity is dry, the repair itself is 3–4 days for a section or 5–7 days for a full room — three coats of compound with drying time between, then set, sand and texture-match.
